Market & Silent Auction

Welcome to Richmond Waldorf School's
Virtual Holiday Market & Silent Auction!

We have gathered a curated offering from some of our favorite makers and doers in RVA, to create a one-stop holiday shop for you, our RWS Community. 100% of proceeds from our generous silent auction donations, as well as 20% of all vendor sales will go directly back to RWS!

We are so excited to share these perfectly giftable experiences and products, and hope to help you check off everyone on your list from the safety and comfort of your couch.

A few helpful tips:

On auction items, you'll see the option to "Make A Bid". There's also an option to "Buy Now" if you'd like to make it yours right away. Bidding on all items will close when the market does on Monday, December 7th.

On vendor items, you will only see the option to "Buy Now" as you will be purchasing these items directly from the vendors. Quantities are limited, so don't delay!

Your purchases will be coordinated for on campus pick-up the week of December 7th through the week of December 14th. The Holiday Drive-Thru Fundraiser Event on December 12th will also serve as a pick-up time.

On campus pick-up is preferred on all items, but shipping can be offered for a flat $10 fee.
Please purchase the item "$10 Shipping Fee" if you would like us to ship to you. Items will be shipped the week of December 14th.

Happy shopping, and thank you for your support of Richmond Waldorf School!

Everything and everybody has a story...

I grew up in Russia in the ’70s and ’80s during a time when the norm for shopping was visiting shoddy stores full of mostly empty racks or otherwise boring and unimaginative clothing. Those of us who wanted to wear something original and interesting took up the challenge of altering what we already had or could purchase new.

I still remember one day when I was a young girl and my grandmother bought me a denim dress that looked like every other denim dress. But that’s when the magic began. Grandmother took bits and pieces of assorted fabrics that she had collected over the years, cut them into various shapes and sizes and appliquéd them to the dress. When she was done, I had a beautiful and unique dress, a treasure I wore proudly for many months to come. The years passed by, and I had no real need to apply my creativity in this way while I lived in different parts of the world. Yet I still had that bug that I caught from my grandmother — the desire to make something new from materials around me. In American stores there is an abundance of clothes in beautiful styles and colors, but my heart is still searching for something different and original. As a result I have this business!
